Using open source to deliver software solutions means we have the freedom to develop a software system which is tailored to a clients specific requirements but without the added overhead of the usual licensing/purchase costs associated with proprietary software.

We use open source based web servers, and development environments as they are proven and reliable, and together with other open source tools and languages enable us to deliver reliable, robust and flexible solutions for our clients.

Our tool kit

• PHP

We use PHP as our primary server scripting language.

• MySQL

Databases are where we feel most at home and MySQL is the worlds most popular open source database.

• Apache

As we've said already 70% of the internet is hosted on Apache. Apache is robust and reliable.

• Redhat and Fedora Core Linux

Our servers run on Redhat, and Fedora Core 5.

• LAMP

LAMP stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. We have also implemented LAMP stacks on a windows platform for some of our clients who required this.

• PEAR

PEAR stands for PHP Extension and Application Repository. PEAR makes things easier by allowing us to re-use libraries which are proven and tested.
